I came of age in the late ’80s and ’90s, starting out photographing skateboarding, participating in and living through the alt-rock explosion, and later recording experimental electronic music as Twine for Ghostly International. Now, middle-aged, the soundtrack of my youth has become the leisure music of a younger generation — and the creative spirit that shaped those years still drives my work today.

From Punk Rock to Pixels

I’ve been connected to cannabis since I was 15, first in the underground selling it and now at the top legal level, selling it by producing cinematic photography and video for leading MSOs and boutique brands. My work blends macro precision, in-camera artistry, and animation to capture cannabis in its most compelling form — turning menu shots into art, and brand stories into immersive visual experiences.

Decades of immersion in cannabis subculture, music, art, and the hustle give me a unique edge: I don’t just create visuals, I create work that feels lived-in and authentic. From skate spots and music stages to grow rooms and studio sets, I bring a lifetime of cultural fluency and creative discipline to every project, helping brands stand out while honoring the plant’s roots.

The Art of Experiential Branding

Today I run Maryland Connoisseur Studio, and I am the lead photographer for Maryland Leaf Magazine, where I focus on macro photography and animated cannabis content. I’ve created work for brands like Grassroots, Alt-Sol, Isana Genetics, and Nature’s Heritage, helping them tell their story in a way that looks as good as their product smokes.

Where the Culture Lives and Breathes

​

My studio is based inside the Graffiti Warehouse in Baltimore, a legendary building that hosted raves in the ’90s and now houses nine creative studios and a massive common space for fashion shoots, photography, and meetups.

 

Right next door is Graffiti Alley, a vibrant outdoor art corridor painted daily by local street artists and visited by photographers, creators, and influencers from all over. It’s the perfect mix of raw energy and professional infrastructure, and that balance shows up in every frame I shoot.
